Hobbies pay the bills

Where do I get the money to cover my expenses you might ask?  My budget is blown…

Well grow your money.  Find other ways to make money in addition to your salary.  In a time of high unemployment, the tough get motivated.

I myself became interested in creating useful programs using Microsoft Access.  I began reading tips and tricks on programming in Microsoft Access and purchasing used books for about $3 plus shipping from Amazon.com on the subject matter.  I eventually taught myself to design and develop full blown sophisticated database applications using Microsoft Access, SQL, and VBA coding.  I began to search for jobs and posting on craigslist to contact companies and people needing assistance in completing Microsoft Access database projects.  I got a few responses and eventually began working on several projects.  The money started rolling in and I went from being down on my luck to being an entrepreneur and finding an alternative way to make money.

The moral to the story is to find something that intrigues you, learn as much as you can about the subject matter, get really good at what you do, and you will find an alternative means of providing for yourself financially.

Get tough, get motivated!

If you are a great artist—draw or paint.  If you love to write- create blogs, get noticed, submit stories to local newspapers or magazines.  Dream big, you’ll be surprised.

Just think, one job or project freelancing can cover a utility bill or gas money.  Several projects can cover larger bills like rent or mortgage.

If you need to learn more about the subject matter, cut costs and do your research online.  If you need more in depth information on the subject matter, buy used books on Amazon.com.  You’ll be surprised at the savings.

Now go out into the world and take on your budget…  Head on!

-And send me your success stories.  I would love to hear from you.
